The University of Bolobedu Development Foundation (UBDF) is a registered public benefit organisation with one bold mission: to establish the first university in Bolobedu. We are driven by the urgent need to unlock access to higher education for rural and underserved communities in Tzaneen, Tarental, and the surrounding areas of Limpopo.
At UBDF, we believe that quality education should not be a privilege reserved for urban centres. Our goal is to bring world-class academic opportunities to the heart of Bolobedu—empowering the next generation of leaders, innovators, and change-makers.

- Why It Matters
Changing the Story for Rural Youth
Many talented young people in Bolobedu are forced to leave their communities—or give up on their dreams entirely—due to a lack of access to affordable and nearby higher education. UBDF exists to change that narrative. By investing in education at a local level, we are investing in economic development, social progress, and a brighter future for all.
